Follow a path from the road and pass through a field where you will find Ikarashi “Honke.”
The view from the inn, which stands on a hill a short climb up some stone steps, is of a majestic mountain range. The Iide Mountains span across Yamagata, Niigata, and Fukushima Prefectures.
Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time at the inn with the okami-san (hostess), watching the mountains change with the seasons, from fresh green in the spring to autumn colors in the fall.

The Nakatsugawa district of Iide-machi is blessed with mountain nature. The inns in the neighborhood collaborate to promote farmhouse inns.

Guests can experience farming seasonal vegetables, such as potatoes, in the fields behind the inn. In spring, guests can join in planting flowers in the flower beds.

Yubeshi making experience
At the Yubeshi-making activity, guests learn how to make Yubeshi, a sweet bean paste sweet, eaten in the Nakatsugawa district.
The submerged forest of Lake Shirakawa
April to May is the best time to see the flooded forest of Lake Shirakawa. Melting snow flows into the dam lake, creating a spectacular view of the trees reflected on the water’s surface. Canoeing and SUP activities are also available. (Canoe Club)

It has been 16 years since I started this farmhouse inn.
We often host children from the Tokyo metropolitan area as part of a mountain study program.The first boy who stayed with us is now a working adult.We hope you will visit us as if you were at your second home.
Our inn also hosts educational trips and welcomes families with children.

Our inn is known for our delicious water, supplied directly from the Iide Mountains into our water supply system. We also have a pond in the back of the inn. Come and relax with the soothing sounds of the water.
